Providus Bank SME Challenge 2020: For those who aren’t knowledgeable about the SME Challenge, it will be far better to equip your minds about it and then we can move forward.
The SME Challenge is an innovative initiative that was a brainchild of EDC and ProvidusBank, and the purpose for which it was established was at equipping small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with innovative skills and Efficiencies that the SMEs will require to have the ability to run their businesses profitably with no loss of any form, also was aimed at defending sound and viable business proposals, efficient funds utilization, trade, access to markets and prepare the SMEs to be able to access funding.
The aim of this program, is that the entrepreneurial and managerial Efficiencies of Nigerian SMEs aimed towards building lasting business practices and also provide support that will help entrepreneurs to meander the business challenges they might face.
There are three phases the SMEs Challenge will provide capacity building for and these phases are as follows.

Phase 1 – Capacity Building for 500 SMEs: In this phase, 500 interested applicants will be granted in, trained and granted access to the SMEtoolkit’s resources. The SMEtoolkit as it where do contain some set of tools which will be equipping the businesses of these onboarded candidates to be able to gain a competitive advantage. It also has a free business advisory from renowned business experts and they will have access to some software packages, business forms, training resources and templates which will be a major determinant to the success of your business
Phase 2 – There will be Business support for the top 50 SMEs: There will be additional business consultation to the top 50 candidates that will be selected from the 500 SMEs.
Phase 3 – Enterprise Development program for the top 15 SMEs: For those who will make it to the top 15 SMEs will be given a Customised Enterprise Development program which will be coupled with a very strong intensive business support.

How to apply
Step 1 – Interested Applicants who wants to be part for, have to follow the Eligibility process for the program. Applicants must be:
A Nigerian
18 years and above
Applicants must own a viable business that is registered and operational here in Nigeria
Applicants must have a for-profit business from any sector of the economy.
Applicants must be Educated with minimum qualification of Ordinary National Diploma (OND)
Applicants must be carry out the application process online and that’s the only method that can be use for application.
Once Applicants have been accepted, they must be committed to the training schedule by the scheme which includes physically and virtual training.
Step 2 – Register
To register, you have to Click on the Start Application to register

Step 3 – Complete Application
When your application must have been successfully registered, you are to log in and start the application process. Should in case you want to return to your application menu, you are to click the “Save And Continue” button (at the bottom of any stage) and you will come back to it at any time you to before the deadline date. When you have finished with your application process, then you will be requested to click on the “Submit” button which is located at the very end of the form to send it. You are only permitted to submit only ONE application.
